An attractive flowering shrub for shady areas of woodland gardens or shrub borders. Kerria japonica 'Pleniflora' is valued in gardens for its bright yellow flowers. Kerria are deciduous shrubs in the rose family Rosaceae, native to China, Japan and Korea, with green young shoots bearing simple, toothed leaves and rose-like, solitary 5-petalled flowers in mid-spring.
